Mary has a BSc in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick. She has a wide range of work experience from across the country. She has worked with the federal government’s Canadian Forestry Service, and also with provincial governments, industry, and manufacturing. Later in her career, Mary worked in education, teaching French Immersion classes, as she is fully bilingual.
Mary has volunteered for many years as a Girl Guide Leader, and has also enjoyed volunteering for school literacy and numeracy programs, basketball tournaments, and fundraising for high school band programs.
Before coming to work for the NBYO as Campaign Director for the Orchestrating Change Campaign for Sistema NB and now as Business Manager, Mary was employed as Campaign Coordinator for the City of Moncton’s successful fundraising campaign for the Moncton Museum’s new Resurgo Place-Transportation Discovery Centre.
In her spare time, Mary is a fibre artist and has had her work exhibited in a number of museums in the Maritime Provinces. She enjoys time with her family, gardening and other outdoor activities.
